Grab a Holiday Facial: Look and Feel Your Best!

Holiday parties are here, so it's time to kick-up your skin care regimen. Put your best face forward with a relaxing, rejuvenating facial. After my 90-minute treatment with esthetician Elaine Campos at Carla Fabrizi Cosmetics, my skin is glowing and I'm ready to brave a season of egg nog and fruit cake...

Jurlique skincare products
At Carla Fabrizi Cosmetics in Mendham, esthetician Elaine Campos uses worldclass skincare products by companies like Jurlique.

It’s always a treat to visit Carla Fabrizi’s shop in Mendham because it’s a haven for beauty and fashion. You can ask Carla (who has a long history working with Hollywood celebrities) to do your makeup. Or shop racks of fun and funky women’s clothing and accessories. Or get your hair colored and cut by fabby stylist Larry Melo. Or have a world-class facial by Elaine Campos…which is just what I did recently.

Elaine is super passionate about her work, and I left her facial room feeling refreshed and radiant. Here’s how she describes her approach:

"Each time I give a facial, my intent is to impart a peaceful, healing experience, allowing you to truly relax and indulge for an hour and half (and sometimes longer). During this time, I treat your skin as if it were my own, doing my utmost to stimulate it to heal and glow. My goal is that you will sense the passion I put into your care."

Elaine began her career as an esthetician more than 20 years ago with the Neutrogena skin care company and then with Johnson and Johnson. Working in their dermatologic divisions, she traveled throughout the NY and NJ/PA areas, visiting residency programs for new dermatologists and plastic surgeons and training them on skin care. After taking a hiatus to start a family, she earned a New Jersey Esthetics license and certification. She is also a member of the Associated Skin Care Professionals.

"I believe that healthy skin comes with proper care, good nutrition and exercise. I always spend time before and after each facial discussing skin care with my clients and doing a basic analysis of their current skin care regimen and suggesting how it can be improved," Elaine notes. "I can proudly say that numerous clients over the years have commented that my facials have been among the best they have ever experienced. I believe this is because I give each client 100 percent of my attention and expertise, never allowing the clock to dictate our schedule."

Elaine customizes each facial to meet her client’s specific needs using state-of-the-art equipment and organic Jurlique and Shira products. She also offers precision brow sculpting, hair removal, light to medium chemical peels, galvanic current, LED light treatment and exfoliation of facial hair. A customized organic facial costs $115 and is a perfect holiday gift.

Young people also can benefit tremendously from Elaine’s TLC. "Acneic teenagers who previously had negative experiences with facials have found a haven within my studio room," Elaine says. "I work hard to ensure that their experience is not only therapeutic, but calming. Clients with extremely sensitive skin, who are hesitant to facials because of flare-ups, have been very pleased with my gentle approach that includes the right products and protocols for their skin type." A 90-minute teen facial costs $95.

Elaine also has been trained in the highest level of Reiki, an ancient Japanese healing treatment that uses energy to create physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. She says that this healing modality is widely accepted in hospitals as a complement to traditional medical treatments and is completely safe. "After receiving a facial infused with Reiki therapy, my clients tell me they enjoy the tranquil, healing energy that gives them a sense of peace."

Kick off your holidays with a little "me" time. Too busy in December? Start 2015 with a fresh, radiant face that’s part of your all-encompassing health and beauty regimen. The new year is the right time for a new you!  Elaine Campos can be reached at 973-543-4445.
