COOKING WITH BEER

COOKING WITH CHEF TORREZ
On February 25, executive chef Jose Torrez from CoccoLa, Hillsborough, will teach a cooking class, A Taste of CoccoLa, at Kings Cooking Studio, 450 Route 206, Bedminster. Dishes to be demonstrated include: roasted eggplant ravioli topped with Maine lobster; pan-seared sea scallops with fire-roasted green and red peppers; sweet Italian sausage and cremini mushrooms; and flourless chocolate cake. 6:30 to 9:30 PM; $50. Congratulations to Betsy Alger, co-proprietor of the Frog and the Peach, New Brunswick, who was sworn in as chairperson of the New Jersey Restaurant Association. She is the first woman to head the NJRA in its 66-year history.
