L'Aragosta restorante, ridgewood,l NJ

had dinner there 5/17 with friends. The service was horrible. wait to get seated in spite of reservations, poor service once seated - slow to take orders, provide water, etc. and no follow up by wait staff once food served. The food was at best average. do not order the red snapper. It was overcooked and like rubber. The worst aspect was that after delays in getting seated and service, you were rushed out once the check was paid. given the number of resturants in Ridgewood, it's difficult to see this as a long term success.

L'Aragosta restorante, ridgewood,l NJ

I recently ate at this restaurant and was very disappointed. Although the food was good, the service was terrible. I was there at least 10 minutes before anyone even came to take my order. Then, afterwards, I heard the waitress tell an adjacent table specials that she didn't even mention to my husband and me. The worst part of dining here; however, was the $2 surcharge for spliting a $14 salad. While I understand a splitting surcharge for entrees, I am baffled by this same surcharge for splitting an appetizer - especially when the appetizer is a salad that already cost $14. Although the food was tasty, there are numerous restaurants in Ridgewood with better customer service.

L'Aragosta Ristorante

We went to L'Aragosta on a quiet Sunday evening. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was good--updated Italian. The Monk Fish Fra Diablo was cooked properly and was plated with incredible fried potatoes and garlic string beans. The Pasta Siciliani had a light sauce made of fresh tomatoes, eggplant, onions and mushrooms with shavings of parmesan. The espresso, capucino and almond tirimisu was a great way to end the meal.
