SLOW FOOD AND WINE FESTIVAL
On June 28, the Slow Food and Wine Festival 2008 will be held at Hopewell Valley Vineyards, 46 Yard Road, Pennington. Some of the participating restaurants are Brothers Moon, Christopher’s Restaurant at the Heldrich, High Street Grill, Tre Piani, and Za Restaurant. Featured along with cooking demonstrations and wine seminars will be cheeses from local artisans, fresh-baked breads, a farmers’ market, honey producers, and flowers and plants. Cookbook authors will be on hand, and wines from several New Jersey wineries will be available for sampling. Noon to 5 PM; $25 in advance; $30 at door. Admission includes a wine tasting, a souvenir wine glass, parking, cooking demonstrations, and wine seminars; food will be available at a nominal fee.
