LET’S PARTY
Are you planning an event but don’t know where to hold it? Then tour the state’s caterers and banquet facilities via a new book, Let’s Party—New Jersey’s Top Places for Catered Affairs, by John and Laury Bakie.

Venues are organized by category: Distinguished Elegance, With a View, Grand Experience, Intimate Celebrations, Pristine Surroundings, and Culinary Pleasures. The in-depth descriptions and colorful photographs will be helpful whether you’re throwing a party for two or a thousand. For more information log on to www.toppartyplaces.com.

FIREWORKS AND DINNER
There’s no need to deal with the crowds if you have dinner at Nicholas, 160 Route 35 South, Middletown, on July 3, as you will be able to watch a post-meal fireworks display from the restaurant’s property. A three-course menu will be offered, with seatings from 6 until 7 PM; $95 plus tax and gratuity. For more information and reservations call 732-345-9977.

A $16.50 twilight dinner is served Mondays through Thursdays from 4 to 6:30 PM at Tortilla Press, 703 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood (856-869-3345), BYO, and Tortilla Press Cantina, 7716 Maple Avenue, Pennsauken (856-488-0005).
