Blue Wave Restaurant in Westfield, NJ

Blue Wave restaurant in Westfield, NJ (name then changed to Blue Water) served the best crab cakes accompanied with julienne vegetables and roasted potatoes. We haven’t had crab caskes that good since then an we usually eat out quite frequently. The chef at the time was Michael (didn’t know his last name). The restaurant closed sometime in 2007. I was wondering if he opened his own restaurant or if he is the chef at another restaurant.

Blue Wave

Diane, Blue Wave/Water is now Limani Grill and under different ownership. It too specializes in seafood and has been quite popular since it opened a couple of years ago. Sorry - don’t know of Michael’s whereabouts.

Crab cakes/Blue Wave

I don’t know about Blue Wave, but try Jake’s Crab Shack 500 Ocean Ave., on the boardwalk in Belmar for the best crab cakes I’ve had.
