Michael Burbella is the executive chef at Fratelli Trattoria, 119 E Ridgewood Ave, Ridgewood (201-447-9377).

Joseph LaPorte, executive chef at the Tropicana Casino and Resort, Atlantic City, has been named Chef of the Year by the Professional Chef’s Association of South Jersey, a chapter of the American Culinary Federation.

Purvesh Patel is no longer executive chef at Mantra, Paramus.
