Dominique Filoni is the new executive chef at Avenue, Pier Village, 23 Ocean Ave, Long Branch (732-759-2900). Filoni was the chef/owner of Savona, Gulph Mills, PA, where in 2004 he was included in Food & Wine magazine’s “America’s Best New Chefs.” His last position was at the Four Seasons Hotel, Georgetown.

Table Hopping With Rosie is rooting for Maricel Presilla, chef/owner of Cucharamama, 233 Clinton St, Hoboken (201-420-1700), who’s a finalist for Best Chef, Mid-Atlantic, in the 2009 James Beard Foundation Awards. Winners will be announced on May 4.
