Chefs on the Move

Rosie has the latest news on where NJ chefs are manning the stoves.

Steven Capodicasa is the owner/chef at Steve’s Sliders, Dogs & Fries, 1731 E 2nd St, Scotch Plains (908-322-4222).

Juan Jose Cuevas is the executive chef at the Pluckemin Inn, 359 Rt 202/206 and Pluckemin Way, Bedminster (908-658-9292). He comes to NJ with a very impressive resume. From September 2007 until recently he was chef de cuisine at Eighty One Restaurant in NYC, which received one star from the Michelin guide in 2009; before that he was executive chef at Blue Hill and sous chef at Lespinasse, both in NYC.

John Schaefer is the executive chef at Grato, 2230 Rt 10, Morris Plains (973-267-4006). He was previously executive chef/partner at Irving Mill, NYC.
