Anthony Francos Ristorante & Pizzeria (973-857-2400) has opened a seventh location at 303 Pompton Ave, Verona. Along with pizza, this BYO restaurant offers salads, sandwiches, pasta, and chicken, veal, and seafood entrées.
Bibi’z Restaurant and Lounge, 284 Center Ave, Westwood (201-722-8600), has opened, offering global American cuisine. Prices range from $5 to $14 for appetizers and $11 to $30 for main dishes. Bibi’z has more than 40 wines by the glass and a full bar and is owned by former Napa Valley Grille GM Ida Martin. Open daily from 11 AM.
Cafe Bua, 1353 Stelton Rd, Piscataway, an American-style diner with an Asian/Hawaiian twist, is open daily for breakfast and lunch (732-819-3900).
La Cantina, 116 Third Ave, Neptune City (732-774-1077).
Mei Japanese Steak House, 500 S River St, Hackensack, has opened, offering hibachi, sashimi, sushi, tempura, teriyaki, udon, and seafood dishes (201-880-7225); BYO.
The Metuchen Inn, 424 Middlesex Ave, Metuchen, has reopened, serving New Italian cuisine using local sustainable products from the tri-state area. It has a wine list with 64 choices, all priced at $25 (732-494-6444).
