Loving Hut, a vegan restaurant, has opened at 952 Rt 34, Matawan (732-970-6129); BYO.

Mad Chef Cafe, a casual eatery, has opened at 32 Fulper Rd, Flemington (908-284-2433); BYO.

MoonShine Modern Supper Club, the new concept from the team behind the Brass Rail Restaurant & Bar in Hoboken, has opened at 55 Main Street, Millburn (973-218-6042, www.moonshinesupperclub.com), for lunch, dinner, and brunch on weekends. Executive chef Francis Falivene, who was the opening chef at Ora in Morristown and City Bistro in Hoboken, has a contemporary American menu with updated comfort food and new takes on classic dishes. Some menu options are: oysters Rockefeller; paprika-spiced shrimp with chickpeas and piquillo peppers; salmon Wellington; hand-selected 28-day dry-aged steaks; pizza; and risotto. Also featured are seasonal specialty cocktails, both original creations and updates on classics; 30 selections of beer by the bottle or 20 on draft; and 50 wines by the glass in 3- or 6-ounce pours. The reserve list includes another 50 bottles. Live music is offered Thursday through Saturday evenings and at Sunday brunch.

Papa Mole, a casual Mexican eatery, has opened at 6 E Palisades Ave, Englewood (201-567-2660); BYO.

Tutti Giorni, an Italian restaurant that serves “Sunday style” dinners and has brick-oven pizza and a raw bar, has opened at 530 Livingston St, Norwood (201-660-7202).
