Barry Bonser is the executive chef at the newly remodeled Candlewyck Diner, 179 Paterson Ave, East Rutherford (201-933-4446). He has revamped the menu and service and offers diner classics with a twist as well as modern American cuisine, plus new cocktails and a new wine list.
Roger Gomes, from Ceará, Brazil, is the chef at Samba Montclair, a new restaurant serving Brazilian cuisine at 7 Park St, Montclair (973-744-6764); BYO. Ilson Goncalves is the owner.
