Al Cavaliere has opened at 247 Piaget Ave, Clifton, offering Italian cuisine (973-928-3766).
Artisanal cheeses, cured meats, chutneys, local breads, olive oils, vinegars, imported pastas, confections, coffees, and teas are some of the items being sold at the newly opened Cheese Cave, 14 Monmouth St, Red Bank (732-842-0796).
CoolVines (wines, beers, and spirits) has moved from 23 Elm St to 127 Central Ave, Westfield. There is free parking in the rear of the new store, which is nearly four times larger than the previous location. A grand opening celebration will be held on Saturday, March 5, when store manager Cheryl Rush will be pouring wine all day.
Nirvana Exotic Indian Cuisine, 275 Rt 10 E, Roxbury Mall, Succasunna (973-668-5905); BYO.
QBA: A Cuban Kitchen, serving “slow-cooked food served fast” has opened at 128 Watching Ave, Montclair (973-744-7221); BYO. Some menu items at QBA (an acronym for “quick but authentic”) are bowls, wraps, or salads of ropa vieja, mojito chicken, or veggie sofrito; Cubano sandwich with ham, pork, Swiss cheese, and pickles; and sides such as black bean dip with chips.
Scotch Bonnets Restaurant and Catering, a Jamaican restaurant, has opened at 20 S Main St, Medford (609-654-6006); BYO. Menu items include jerk wings, cod cakes, curry goat, oxtails, stewed chicken, and rum cake.
Stage House Tavern, 1719 Amwell Rd, Somerset (732-873-3990), has been opened by the same owners as Stage House Restaurant & Wine Bar in Scotch Plains.
