J&K Steakhouse, 56 South St, Morristown (973-998-8061); BYO.
St. Eve’s, 611 N Maple Ave, Ho-Ho-Kus (201-857-4717), has opened, offering modern American cuisine. The restaurant features a wood-burning grill and stove, and owner/chef Steve Christianson uses organic and local produce and meats when available. The restaurant seats 87 inside and 26 on an outside patio, weather permitting. BYO.
Susie’s Cafe, 349 Rt 9 S, Ashley Plaza, Manalapan (732-851-7700), has opened, offering free Wi-Fi. BYO.
Sweet Endings Cafe & Wine Bar, Restaurant Village at Long Valley, 1 Fairmount Rd, Long Valley (908-867-7264), has reopened, offering breakfast, lunch, pastries, desserts, and a wine bar that will be open on Friday and Saturday evenings for wines by the glass, liqueurs, coffees, and a variety of snacks.
Uptown 596, 596 Valley Rd, Montclair (973-744-0915). The restaurant was previously called Uptown but was recently sold to employees and renamed. The menu includes salads, soups, pastas, and fish, chicken, and meat dishes. BYO.
Willie McBrides Irish Pub & Restaurant, 1270 Easton Tpk, Branchburg (908-722-1113), has opened, with decor imported from Ireland, a contemporary American and traditional Irish menu, and more than 30 beers offered on tap. It joins a restaurant of the same name in Hoboken.
