DOG DAYS OF SUMMER AT THE BERNARDS INN, BERNARDSVILLE
The Dog Days of Summer are back at the Bernards Inn, 27 Mine Brook Road, Bernardsville. Diners and their canine companions (on leashes) are invited to enjoy terrace dining for lunch and dinner every Monday through the end of September. While you indulge in al fresco dining and drinks, Fido and Fifi will savor a special gourmet treat prepared by executive pastry chef Duane Hendershot. All dogs drink free! Lunch is served from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM and dinner from 5:30 to 10 PM. Reservations are necessary and can be made by calling 908-766-0002.

CHEFS AT THE SHORE VIII

On June 23, visit the Atlantic City Aquarium free when you attend the Chefs at the Shore VIII event, a food, beer, and wine tasting, which will be held in a tent at the Historic Gardner’s Basin, 800 N New Hampshire Avenue, Atlantic City. The event will benefit the educational programs of the Atlantic City Aquarium and the scholarship program of the Professional Chefs Association of South Jersey. 5:30 to 9 PM; $50, or $450 for ten. FATHER’S DAY
Here are some restaurants where you can celebrate with Dad on Sunday, June 19.

At the Bernards Inn, 27 Mine Brook Road, Bernardsville, a breakfast buffet will be served from 10 AM to 12:30 PM; $29.95, children age five to twelve $14.95, children under five free. All kids will be able to decorate a special necktie-shaped cookie just for Dad. Following breakfast, present Dad with a Chef for a Day gift certificate from the inn. Executive chef Corey Heyer will give Dad a personal hands-on cooking lesson that he won’t soon forget. For reservations and more information, call 908-766-0002.

Copeland Restaurant
, 2 Whippany Road, Morristown, will present three options. An American breakfast buffet will be served from 6:30 to 11 AM; $19. A brunch buffet will be offered from noon to 2:30 PM, featuring Dad’s favorites and a glass of champagne for $24 per person ($12 per child). Dinner will feature a dry-aged 32-ounce porterhouse for two with sautéed spinach and French fries for $32 per person. An à la carte menu will also be available. David Burke Fromagerie
, 26 Ridge Road, Rumson, will be celebrating Father’s Day by featuring 40-day dry-aged beef along with the regular menu items. For reservations, call 732-842-8088.

The Frog and the Peach
