Chef Michael Carrino has sold Passionné in Montclair but will retain the name. “I am in hot pursuit of a new location,” Carrino says. “Right now I’m spoiling myself with time spent with my five-month-old son, Gabriel.” Watch Table Hopping With Rosie for updates.

Grace Crossman is the head chef at Porta, 911 Kingsley Ave, Asbury Park (732-776-7661).

Bujar Daku is the chef/co-owner of La Fontana Coast, 5000 Landis Ave, Sea Isle City (609-486-6088).

Marco Damico is the executive chef at Cafe Amici, 32 Church St, Montclair (973-233-0300); BYO.

Maurice Gallo is the chef/owner of Carnevale Ristorante, 331 Union Blvd, Totowa (973-925-4949).

John Manzo is manning the stoves at Edison Ale House, 51 Edison Pl, Newark (973-643-5560).

Kevin Portscher
is the new chef/owner of the Village Green, 36 Prospect St, Ridgewood (201-445-2914); BYO. The restaurant offers a New American à la carte menu as well as a five-course tasting menu.

Kevin Sbraga, a Johnson & Wales graduate who previously worked at Rat’s in Hamilton and was a winner on Bravo’s Top Chef, has signed a lease for his own restaurant, which is expected to open this fall at 440 S Broad St, Philadelphia.

Fredrica Vilardi is the head pizzaiola at Porta, 911 Kingsley Ave, Asbury Park (732-776-7661).
