Zeina

Was not surprised to see this restaurant closed. It was wonderful when it was 7 Hills of Istanbul, though a BIT overpriced at times. Then they sold it and it became Zeina. Same food, higher prices, and reduced portions.

How could they possibly compete with others in the area? And you’ve got the wonderful Greek Pithari Taverna a block away. Turkish food and Greek food have many similarities. We chose Pithari.

Why do restaurant owners do this? Why "fix" something that isn’t broke? It was practically empty for a couple of months before it closed. Very sad.

Frankly, I thought it went downhill when it was still 7 Hills. Everyone loved the regional costumes in bright colors and they they went "upscale" and put the servers in uniforms (drab black and white and SOME ill-fitting).

What a shame! I’m old school: Ethnic restaurants should look like ethnic restaurants and give a sample of culture as well as food.
