The Cape May Forum and Slow Food South Jersey Shore will host a five-course Forum on the Green: A Farm-to-Table Dinner at Congress Hall, 251 Beach Ave, Cape May, with a menu created by executive chef Lucas Manteca of the Ebbitt Room using ingredients from Beach Plum Farm and other local sources. A complimentary glass of local wine will be offered with dinner, and there will be a cash bar. 6 PM; $50, with proceeds to benefit the Cape May Forum and Slow Food South Jersey Shore (a tax-deductible donation receipt of $25 will be given for each ticket). SATURDAY, MARCH 17
Alchemist & Barrister, 28 Witherspoon St, Princeton, will host its annual St. Patrick’s Day party and Long Beard contest starting at noon with a lunch of Irish favorites and carrying on through dinner and into a night of Celtic celebrations. The event will raise funds for Derek’s Dreams, a charity created to raise awareness of ataxia telangiectasia, a rare neurodegenerative illness that fourteen-year-old Derek DiGregorio suffers from.
