What’s the latest news from Daryl, 302 George Street, New Brunswick? Well, there’s new outdoor dining on the landscaped patio that seats 26, an expanded wine list with more than 100 bottles between $10 to $20, and new menu items. Some dishes to entice you: creamless asparagus soup with crabmeat and almonds; spring vegetables with soft-boiled egg and truffle broth; leek and goat cheese ravioli with wild mushrooms and fresh green peas; fettuccine with lobster, asparagus, and sunflower seeds; and cod with asparagus, fresh green peas, and fresh fava beans. Also available are wine flights where guests can choose a tasting of four to six varieties that highlight different regions, grapes, and styles, and a cheese and chocolate tasting with four or five samples of each, which may be combined with wine pairings. ELEMENTS, PRINCETON
On June 10, Michael Cimarusti, chef at the two-Michelin-star Los Angeles restaurant Providence, will be joining executive chef Scott Anderson at Elements, 163 Bayard Lane, Princeton, to present a seven-course tasting as part of the Guest Chef Summer Series. NEW JERSEY SEAFOOD FESTIVAL, BELMAR
The NJ Seafood Festival will be held June 8 through 10 at Silver Lake Park, Belmar (Ocean Avenue between 5th and 6th Avenues). The 45 participating restaurants and food vendors include: Brandl, Klein’s Waterside, Mr. Shrimp, Matisse Oceanfront Restaurant, Ragin’ Cajun, and Jack Baker’s Lobster Shanty. Some of the offerings will be steamed lobster, shrimp, crab cakes, fried clams, conch fritters, sushi, fish tacos, and seafood quesadillas. Friday 4 to 8 PM, Saturday and Sunday 11 AM to 7 PM; free admission.

CHEF DANIEL FREY HEALTH COACHING
Daniel Frey, who graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, trained at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC, and was a sous chef at Andre’s Restaurant, 188 Spring Street, Newton, will be teaching cooking classes at Andre’s and leading monthly Healthy Eating Seminars. On June 5, “A Perfect Protein From the Sea” will be offered at 6:30 PM; $65 including lecture, demonstration, and dinner. CHARITY EVENTS
A Farm-to-Fork Fundraiser will be held on June 9 at Brady Life Camp, 67 McCann Mill Road, Pottersville, to benefit America’s Grow a Row, an organization that provides food for the hungry. The event includes a cocktail hour featuring local food artisans, an open bar, a farm-fresh dinner, and live entertainment. The keynote speaker is Steve Adubato, PhD, the Emmy-winning PBS anchor and author. The special guest speaker is Governor Thomas H. Kean. 5 to 10:30 PM; $125.
