Chef Arthur Toufayan and his sous chef, Arturo Baralass, won the second round of the Ultimate Chef Bergen County 2013 competition on Saturday at Chef Central in Paramus. The secret ingredient was mushrooms.
This Saturday, January 26, at 11 am, chef Toufayan will take on the first-round winner, chef Chef Adam Weiss of Esty Street in Park Ridge. I will be one of the judges.
The 2013 championship will be decided Saturday, February 16, when this Saturday's victor will compete against the 2012 champion, Ninamarie Bojekian of Ooh La La Catering in Franklin Lakes.
All matches take place at Chef Central in Paramus, 240 Route 17 North, Paramus.
