CHEF FRANCESCO PALMIERI AT BEARD HOUSE, NYC
On Thursday, October 30, Francesco Palmieri from The Orange Squirrel Restaurant, Bloomfield will present a Vincent Price: Legendary Gourmet dinner at the James Beard House 167 West 12th Street, New York, with special guest Victoria Price. The following menu will be served:

Hors d’oeuvres: duck-liver mousse with apples and crispy shallots; steak tartare with quail eggs on brioche; miniature Cuban frankfurters with pickles and mustard cheese; Vermont cheese soup with pretzel dust; and shrimp Sardi

Endive–beet salad with apples and blue cheese

NEWS FROM BATTELLO, JERSEY CITY
Keynon Coleman, the former chef de cuisine at Bar Cara, Bloomfield has been named chef de cuisine at Battello, 502 Washington Boulevard, Jersey City (201-798-1798). David Viana is no longer the chef de cuisine.

SARAH GRESKO
Sarah Gresko is the chef/owner of Sweetgrass, 9 E Broad St, Hopewell (609-333-8912); BYO. Previously she worked as executive chef and acting food and beverage director at Doubletree Guest Suites in Mt. Laurel and has also worked as a pastry chef.

TODD MARK MILLER
Todd Mark Miller is the new executive chef at Zylo Tuscan Steak House, W Hoboken, 225 River St, Hoboken (201-253-2500). He is serving a new, fresh, ingredient-driven menu for lunch and dinner. Chef Miller has more than 15 years experience and began working with Cornerstone Restaurant Group in February 2013, when he joined the team at Michael Jordan’s Steak House in Mohegan Sun Casino as executive chef. In 2014, he took on the role of executive chef at ZYLO Hoboken, also owned by Cornerstone Restaurant Group.

CHRIS NIRSCHEL

Chris Nirschel (Culinary Bad Boy), current MTV host, NYC executive chef, featured on VH1, CNN, NBC, Fox, Dr. OZ Better TV, and Food Network is the chef at Taphaus Biergarten, a new American restaurant and beer garden has opened at 2 Second St, Jersey City. (201-626-6000).
