Burger alert! Grab more napkins then you think you'll need and don't plan on sharing the fries—they are that good. Stuffed Burger, newly opened in Montclair, is serving some belly-busting burgers that are delicious and different. As I was previously a judge in the New Jersey Monthly burger contest, where I was required to taste 10 different burgers, any new burger concept is of interest and a food I want to explore.

STUFFED BURGER, MONTCLAIR
If you are tired of the same old burgers, check this place out. In addition to beef from antibiotic-free, 100-percent, grass-fed cows, diners can mix and match the cheeses, toppings and rolls to create a myriad of different burgers. Make it your way with cheddar, havarti, blue or American. Top it with garlic aioli, sautéed jalapenos, bacon, egg or the ebullient bacon jam. We opted for the Bacon Jam burger with havarti, bacon jam, roasted-garlic aioli, and arugula. We added a slice of tomato, just because. Also devoured was the Montclair Blue burger with blue cheese, chipotle aioli and sautéed mushrooms. Crispy, hot french fries were reluctantly shared. Vegetarians can opt for a portobello mushroom stuffed with Havarti cheese, garlic aioli, arugula and tomato or a grilled cheese sandwich. A BLT is also available. Bacon Jam Fries are gussied up with havarti cheese, bacon jam and chipotle/garlic aioli; a hard-to-bypass concoction.

Hamburgers are cooked medium unless requested otherwise and served on a Balthazar roll. A potato roll is available for the asking. This very casual establishment has 20 seats, a TV screen, bottled soda in a case and is open daily from 11 AM to 10:30 PM.
