NEW MENU ITEMS AT BOBBY’S BURGER PALACE
Bobby’s Burger Palace with locations in Cherry Hill, Eatontown, Freehold, Paramus and Princeton has a revamped menu with new signature burgers, milkshakes and more. New burgers include: the Vegas burger with white American cheese, Fresno red chiles and BBQ potato chips; the New Mexico burger with queso sauce, roasted-green chiles and pickled-red onions; a brunch burger with fried egg, smoked bacon and American cheese; and the Carolina Burger with smoked American cheese, green onion slaw and mustard BBQ sauce. Two new milkshakes and malted flavors are Mint Chocolate Chip and Mocha. Diners who wish to have a sampling of sides can order a Half & Half, which comes with two sides of their choice and either a griddled cheese or griddled pimento cheese and bacon sandwich. OPENINGS

Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan pizzas are available, as well as coal-fired pies, paninis, wings, salads, and entrees at the newly opened Bricco Coal Fired Pizza, 128 Haddon Ave, Westmont (856-477-2223); BYO.

Handcrafted organic burgers, plus salads, dogs and fries are offered at Burger Bound, 190A Kearny Avenue, Kearny (201-628-2168).

Hot-and-cold subs, salads, drinks and sides are served at Firehouse Subs, Mercer Mall, 3371 Rt 1 Lawrenceville (609-520-0020).

Hoffman’s Ice Cream & Yogurt has opened at 444 Ocean Boulevard N, Long Branch (732-229-5500). They also have locations in Point Pleasant Beach, Spring Lake Heights and Little Silver.

Think chicken in all of its forms at the newly opening Le Bon Choix, 11 Godwin Ave, Ridgewood (201-689-0400); BYO. Open daily from 7 AM to 10 PM, menu items include: salads, rotisserie chicken with sides, sandwiches and desserts.

Pancheros, a fresh, Mexican chain that serves hand-pressed tortillas, burritos, quesadillas, tacos, burrito bowls and salads has opened at 715 Promenade Blvd, Bridgewater.

Chocolate-and-peanut-butter pie is a house dessert, so we are anxious to try the newly opened Suburban Tavern, previously Cleveland’s, at 555 Passaic Ave, West Caldwell. The restaurant has new décor, new management and a family-friendly atmosphere (973-882-8889).

Sweets 4 Miles, a bakery featuring handmade creations, has opened at 426 Ocean Ave, Jersey City (201-209-0900).

Fresh, warm, made-to-order donuts and Turnstile specialty-roasted coffee from Belmar, are available at Top That Donuts, 210 Ocean Ave, Point Pleasant Beach (732-899-2552).

CLOSINGS


Cleveland’s
, West Caldwell has closed and is now Suburban Tavern.

Melting Pot, the franchise that specializes in fondue, has closed in Hoboken.
