The owners of Mezza Luna in Allendale have opened Allendale Steak House featuring USDA prime, 35 day dry aged steaks, at 95 West Allendale Ave, Allendale (201-962-9797).

Art of the Salad, dedicated to serving fresh, nutritious chopped salads, sandwiches and wraps, has opened at 300 Rt 18, East Brunswick (732-387-2666).

Pastries from Balthazar Bakery, as well as coffee and tea are available at the newly opened Bean Vault Coffee, 1 Newark St, Hoboken (201-526-4380).

Lovers of Carlo’s Bakery can now feed their sweet tooth at the opening of the latest Carlo’s Bakery at 40 Market Street, Morristown (973-998-7771).

Eleven varieties of coffee as well as soup, bagels, drinks and baked goods are offered at the newly opened Eagle Specialty Coffee at 76-A Rt 35, Eatontown (732-380-7801).

Authentic Greek specialty foods such as mousaka, pastichio, and spanakopita as well as gyros and souvlaki are featured at the newly opened Gyro Loco, 11 Anderson Avenue, Fairview (201-945-4555). Open daily from 11 AM to 11 PM; BYO.

The Ho-Ho-Kus Bakery has opened at 187 E Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus (201-652-2376).

Traditional Italian dishes such as bruschetta, mussels, eggplant Parmigiana, cavatelli Bolognese, seafood fra diavolo and personal-sized pizzas are being offered at the newly opened Il Boccone Cucina Italiana, at 1643 Rt 88, Brick (732-840-6900); BYO.

Sakura Sushi, 300 Gordons Corner Road, Manalapan (732-536-8885).

Sticky’s Barbecue, which was located in Teaneck until 2006, has opened at 321 Broadway, Hillsdale (201-664-4BBQ) offering Texas-style BBQ. Menu items include: ribs, poultry, meat by the pound, burgers, franks, wings, Texas chile and desserts that are listed as “Bigger Then a Texas Square Mile.” Deep-fried Oreo cookies anyone? BYO.

Chef/owner Matthew Zappoli, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America and former Chopped champion announced that Tre Amici, Long Branch has moved to a new location at 115 Brighton Ave, Long Branch. The restaurant now has a full bar. Reservations: 732-571-8922.

CLOSINGS
ANDRE’S IN NEWTON IS CLOSING

Get in your last licks and make a reservation to dine at Andre’s Restaurant at 188 Spring St in Newton (973-300-4192), which has been open since 1998. The last day is April 19th. Plans are to reopen in May with a new name and a new menu at a same location. Andre’s will be moving to a new location.
