ATLANTIC CITY NEWS
The following new eateries have opened on the casino floor at the Resorts Casino Hotel Quick Bites Food Court in the Resorts Casino Hotel, 1133 Boardwalk, Atlantic City: The Original Soup Man, Famous Famiglia Pizza, Haagen Dazs, Ruby’s Diner and Dunkin’ Donuts.

Watch for this summer’s opening of Martorano’s, an Italian-American restaurant at Harrah’s Resort, 777 Harrah’s Boulevard, Atlantic City. The menu will include an eggplant stack, south Philly cheesesteak, rigatoni Sunday pork gravy, bucatini carbonara, and the homemade meatballs, which were named best in the world by Jimmy Kimmel and Al Pacino. Owner, Steve Martorano, a Philadelphia native has restaurant locations in Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, and Hollywood (Florida).

Buca di Beppo, a chain restaurant known for large, family-style portions is coming to Bally’s Hotel and Casino, 1900 Pacific Ave, Atlantic City this summer.

OPENINGS

Alycia’s Modern American Bistro has opened at 52 W. Main St, Freehold (732-462-2305); BYO. Some menu entrees include braised short ribs, poached salmon, shrimp and grits, skirt steak, pastas, and homemade carrot cake. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner.

Amore Ristorante has opened at 140 Rifle Camp Road, Woodland Park (973-925-5600); BYO. This was previously the location of I Trulli.

Bistro Seven Three, offering Italian cuisine, has opened at 1288 Springfield Ave, New Providence (908-464-0096). This is the sister restaurant of Bistro Seven Three, which has been in Berndardsville for 11 years.

The Butcher’s Steakhouse (Kosher) has opened at 401 Main St, Allenhurst (732-686-1498).

Patrons can choose from 24 yogurt flavors, more than 50 different toppings and three sauces at the newly opened Cups Frozen Yogurt—That’s Hot at the Fair Lawn Promenade, 16 Rt 208, Fair Lawn (201-546-5805).

Kenickie’s Eatery, offering Portuguese style BBQ chicken, hot dogs, specialty burgers, oxtails, goat, cod, salmon, and whiting, has opened at 802 Main St, Boonton (862-261-9122).

Sakura Hibachi & Sushi, 115 Franklin Turnpike, Mahwah (201-831-0168); BYO.

Spoon, a Korean restaurant offering a special box menu (entrée, white rice, and Korean side dishes) for take out or dining in, has opened at 515 Main St, Fort Lee (201-346-0600).

Tortilla Bite and Grill, a small Mexican restaurant, has opened at 682 Broadway, Bayonne (201-443-8070).

CLOSINGS

Tula Restaurant & Lounge, New Brunswick, which has been open for five and a half years, is closing this summer and relocating to the Greater Miami area.
