HAPPY 11TH ANNIVERSARY TO FASCINO, MONTCLAIR
On June 29, Fascino, 331 Bloomfield Ave, Montclair, will be celebrating their 11th anniversary with a special five-course tasting menu that features popular dishes from 2003 to 2005. Chef Ryan and pastry chef Cynthia will be preparing the following dinner:

Amuse Bouche: Porcini tartino with walnut-onion butter, 2003

Jumbo lump crab cake, red beets, celery root & basil pesto, 2004

Roasted pompano, exotic mushrooms, & white truffle butter risotto, 2005

EAT DRINK LOCAL WEEK
Over 50 restaurants throughout New Jersey will participate in Eat, Drink, Local Week presented by Edible Jersey, a magazine dedicated to promoting the local, seasonal foods of the Garden State. This event is co-sponsored by Zone 7, a fresh-from-the-farm distribution service that connects local farmers and chefs by delivering high-quality ingredients from farms in New Jersey and eastern Pennsylvania to restaurants and grocers in the tri-state area.

Some of the restaurants partaking in this promotion, that will be offering prix fixe and supplemental menus featuring the harvest from New Jersey farmers are: Agricola, Princeton; A Toute Heure and 100 Steps, Cranford; The Bernards Inn, Bernardsville; The Blue Pig Tavern, Cape May; The Ebbit Room, Cape May; Elements, Princeton; End of Elm, Morristown; Frog and the Peach, New Brunswick; Langosta Lounge, Asbury Park, Light Horse Tavern, Jersey City, and Ryland Inn, Whitehouse Station.

WINE TASTING DINNER AT SALT CREEK GRILLE, PRINCETON

BEER PAIRING CHARITY DINNER

Brooklyn Brewery’s Garrett Oliver, a 2014 James Beard Award Winner, will host a four-course Brooklyn Brewery Beer Pairings Dinner at the Mountain Lakes Club, 18 Lake Drive, Mountain Lakes, to benefit the Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms. 7 PM; $100. WINE, CHEESE & CHOCOLATE EVENT

BREW AT THE ZOO

Party with the animals at the Brew At The Zoo event that will be held at Turtle Back Zoo, 560 Northfield Avenue, West Orange. TASTE OF THE HIGHLANDS

Food and cocktails from area restaurants will be featured at the Taste of Highlands that will be held at Huddy Park & Veterans Park, Highlands. Noon to 5 PM; $40. Tickets can be purchased online at the event website, at participating establishments, or the day of the event at Huddy Park or Veterans Park until 2PM. STATE FAIR AT MEADOWLANDS FAIRGROUNDS

Feast on “fair” food between June 20 and July 6 at the State Fair which will be held at State Fair Meadowlands Fairgrounds, next to Met Life Stadium, Stadium Road, East Rutherford; GPS Address: 102 NJ State Highway 120, East Rutherford. This year along with corn dogs, curly fries, funnel cakes and cotton candy attendees will find sausage & peppers, cheese steaks, seafood, pizza & pasta, gyros, Asian and Latin dishes along with ice cream, Italian ice, fried Oreos and fried candy bars. Health-conscious, can opt for hibachi tofu, Italian and Greek salads, chicken kebobs, popcorn, low-fat ice cream, and more while adventurous palates can chow down on alligator bites fried PB&J and a donut burger which is a hamburger with bacon and cheese between two glazed donuts.
