EAT AT MOREY’S PIERS WILDWOOD
Morey’s Piers
, a classic seaside amusement park located on the boardwalk in the Wildwoods, has announced the opening of the following new restaurants:

Jake’s Steaks at Surfside Pier serves up authentic Philly cheesesteaks made using only 100% rib eye. Guests can also choose a sweet Italian sausage sandwiches with peppers and onions, or all-beef quarter pound hot dogs.

Stubborn Brothers Beach Bar and Grille is a new oceanfront venue at Ocean Oasis Water Park offering drinks and dishes such as Cuban, dusted-fried calamari with cilantro cream sauce; crab cake sandwich with lemon-Dijon mustard; and country-battered chicken and waffle sandwich with maple mayo.

Other eateries include Joes’ Fish Company, Le Bakerie; The Taco Joint, Tony Luke’s and ALOHA Smoothie Company. For more information, visit the company website or call 609-522-3900.

OTHER OPENINGS

Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, a chain that uses coal-burning ovens to create a “well done” pizza, has opened at 1600 Rt 23 N, Wayne (973-872-2625); full bar.

Atithi Restaurant, offering Indian cuisine, has opened at 3201 Rt 27, Franklin Park (732-422-7544).

A new cooking school, Rolling Pin Academy, has opened at 155 Linwood Ave (Bethlehem Lutheran Church), Ridgewood (201-483-9176) or e-mai:l [email protected]. Owners are pastry chef Tammy Dunwoody, owner of The Art of Cake and chef John Aramian, producer of Peasant Chef TV.

Buca di Beppo, a chain restaurant known for large, family-style portions, has opened at Bally’s Hotel and Casino, 1900 Pacific Ave, Atlantic City (609-340-1555). The restaurant’s small dishes feed two or more people, large ones feed four or more. Menu items include: antipasti; salads; traditional, specialty and baked pastas; pizza; side dishes and desserts. Entrees run the gamut from chicken, veal, and eggplant parm to chicken and veal Marsala.

Paloma Negra, a Mexican restaurant and tequila bar, has opened at 163 River Road, Edgewater (201-914-3000) The restaurant is owned by the family who own Charitto’s located in Weehawken and Hoboken.

Rossi’s Bar and Grill, previously in Trenton, has moved to 2110 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton (609-890-2004). This Italian restaurant celebrated its 80th anniversary last November.

There are 50 flat screen TVs and over 60 draft beers at the newly opened Tequila Joe’s Sports Cantina, 1271 Rt 22, Bridgewater (908-722-5637).
