CULINARIANE, MONTCLAIR AND ARIANE KITCHEN + BAR, VERONA
Ariane and Michael Duarte, chef/owners of CulinAriane, a highly regarded Montclair restaurant, will be closing their restaurant on September 12. Their new casual establishment Ariane Kitchen + Bar in Verona is expected to open in October with a menu ranging from food bar snacks, small and large plates, burgers, salads, steaks and chicken dishes. Two favorite menu items from the CulinAriane menu, the cornmeal crusted oysters with horseradish cream and micro greens, and the sashimi tuna flower, with crispy wontons, pickled cucumber and wasabi crème fraiche will be on the menu. The restaurant will be open from 4 PM, Wednesday through Monday, closed Tuesdays.

OTHER OPENINGS

Blu Nami, (wave in Japanese) has opened at 800 Ocean Ave, Asbury Park (732-775-7511). Co-owners are Nick Oliveri, Kenny Mansfield and Joseph Cetrulo, who also own Stella Marina and Cubacan in Asbury Park.

De Novo European Pub, Upper Montclair Train Station, 275 Bellevue Ave, Upper Montclair (973-893-50080; full bar.

Depot Square Bar & Restaurant, previously Erie Saloon, has opened at 25 Depot Square (Walnut Street Train Station), Montclair (973-931-4389).

Ceviche, rabbit, baby goat and seafood dishes are on the menu at the newly opened Inkanto Fine Peruvian International Cuisine, 3115 Rt 35 N, Hazlet (732-888-9458); BYO.

Jack’s Cabin, a steakhouse, has opened at 9 Paterson Ave, Hoboken (201-876-2615); full bar.

Jersey Mike’s Subs, 557 North Franklin Turnpike, Ramsey (201-962-8898).

Lan Garden Restaurant and Bar, the former China 46, has opened at 88 Route 46 W, Ridgefield offering fine Chinese cuisine and authentic Chinese dishes (201-840-8688). Full bar.

Mama D’s Pizzeria, 81 Cassville Road, Jackson, 732-928-1514; BYO.

Pho Tan Vietnamese Cuisine has opened at 729 Brunswick Ave, Ewing Township (609-656-7725).

Tete Bistronomie, offering both traditional and contemporary Peruvian cuisine, has opened at 247 Raritan Avenue, Highland Park (732-246-1502); BYO.

Come by land or lake as docking is available at the newly opened Upstream Grille, 161 Rt 181, Lake Hopatcong. Along with salads, pizza and pastas chef/co-owner Ken Salmon, previously the executive chef at Mohawk House in Sparta, offers Berkshire pork chop; Cajun charred 16-ounce ribeye; beer-braised bonelesss short rib; tilapia, blackened salmon; striped bass, scallops and much more.
