A five-course collaborative wine & beer charity dinner, Cru Meets Brew, presented by the Montclair Food & Wine Festival and Amanti Vino will be held on October 16 at the Highlawn Pavilion, 1 Crest Drive, West Orange. The following chefs will be in attendance: Christopher Ryan Arturo, Red Eye Café; Bryan Gregg, Escape Montclair; Adam Rose, Villalobos; Luck S, Ani Ramen; and out-of-town guest Anthony Bucco. Wines and beers will be coordinated by Sharon Sevrens owner of Amanti Vino in Montclair. TASTE OF THE QUARTER AT THE TROPICANA, ATLANTIC CITY

On August 18, over 20 restaurants will be participating in the annual Taste of the Quarter will be held at the Tropicana, 2831 Boardwalk, Atlantic City, and will benefit United Way. Some of the restaurants partaking in this event are: Carmine’s; Classic Cakes; Fin; Perry’s Pizza; PF Chang’s; Tony Luke’s; The Palm; and Zeytinia. 6 to 9 PM; families welcome; $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event.
