DISNEY WEEK AT THE POP SHOP, COLLINGSWOOD
From September 29 to October 3, The Pop Shop, 729 Haddon Avenue, Collingswood (856-869-0111) will celebrate Disney Week with a different theme each day. Events include Princess and Pirate visits, magical kids menu, Disney Family Trivia Night, pin trading party, “Behind the Scenes” with Disney Travel, plus story times, coloring sheets, and Disney movies on the TV. The Pop Shop “Cast Members” will be wearing Disney pins for trading, too. Some Disney Magic Menu items for children which include a choice of entrée, one side, drink, and dessert for $10.99, for children 14 and under are: Mickey Mouse Grilled Cheese, Hotdog Pirate Ships, Toy Story Planet Pizza, Rapunzel’s Pretzel Braids, official Disney Mickey Rice Krispy treats and more. BIG BREW BEER FESTIVAL
On Saturday, October 11, a Big Brew Beer Festival will be held at the Morristown Armory, 430 Western Avenue, Morristown with over 250 craft beer tastings. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Morris Rugby, which raises funds and awareness for youth rugby. Session One: VIP Noon to 4:30 PM; General Admission, 1 to 4:30 PM; Designated Driver: 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM. Session Two: VIP 6 to 10.30 PM; General Admission 7 to 10.30 PM; VIP $80, General Admission: $50, Designated Driver, $10. VIP ticket holders will enjoy: an extra hour of tasting; over 25 special, VIP-only brews (available to VIPs throughout the entire session); and beer-infused hors d’oeuvres provided by Morris Tap & Grill (pulled pork sliders with sevendust chips), Hot Rods BBQ (smoked turkey & smoked wings); Nicole’s Ten (mini Italian beer-braised pot roast hoagies topped with hash browns, aged provolone and demi jus, served with almond and truffle pesto tortellini salad); and Village Food Garden (seared pepper tuna with micro greens, avocado, wasabi, and tomatoes in a phyllo cup and mini soft shell tacos made with chicken verde and pork al pastor, diced tomato, and crunchy cabbage) served during the VIP extra hour. My Limo will provide free shuttle service every 15 minutes during the event between the Morristown courthouse and the Armory. Service is provided courtesy of the Big Brew Beer Fest. TOUR DE FARM CYCLING AND CULINARY EVENT
On Saturday September 27, a Tour de Farm cycling and culinary event will start at Race Farm, 87 Belcher Road, Blairstown and visit participating farms where a tasting will be held for participants. There are three different options ranging from a 5-mile family friendly ride to a 78-mile extreme NJ Farm experience. A Farm to Fork 10 course celebration dinner is also available and non-participants can purchase a ticket for this meal separately. Information at the event website.
