Today, Rosie tells us about Oh’ Brian’s On The Green in Clark.

OH’ BRIAN’S ON THE GREEN, CLARK
Not only was the food tasty at Oh’ Brian’s On the Green in Clark, but portions were large and service was friendly.

The endive salad with mixed greens served on a large, chilled plate was enough for two. It contained Roquefort cheese, candied walnuts, and a lip smackin’ Dijon vinaigrette. The side of grilled eggplant and yellow and green squash, starter was perfectly seasoned. I seldom order a hamburger and when I do I just eat half of it. However, the 10-ounce prime beef burger was so juicy and scrumptious that I ate the whole thing. Ditto for the house-made, hand-cut crispy French fries; they were addictive. Lowell had a substantial BBQ short-rib sandwich that was topped with a celery root and green-apple slaw, which balanced out the spicy sauce. We did not have dessert; they are brought in, except for the house-made gelato. The menu is extensive with something for everyone from Grandma Annie’s meatballs, fish tacos, raw bar, pastas, sandwiches, and entrees.

What was a surprise and disturbing was the shabbiness of the restaurant. Wallpaper was peeling off the wall in the entrance hallway, the rug needed a good vacuuming, ceiling tiles were dirty and the bathroom unkempt.
