LOOKING AHEAD
DEPARTED SOLES, JERSEY CITY
Departed Soles
, a brewery which features gluten-free and regular craft beers will be opening at 150 Bay Street, 2 A, Jersey City by October. Founder and brewer Brian Kulbacki took up home brewing as a hobby which led him to visit breweries around the world and to study at the American Brewers Guild Brewing School’s Intensive Brewing Science and Engineering course. The name Departed Soles Brewery refers to Kulbacki’s families’ funeral home business; his fondness for sneakers; and tribute to his best friend, who passed away on October 25, 2010, in a car accident while commuting in between a teaching job and a restaurant job. The gluten free beer the company will be brewing is made with 100% GFree ingredients and certified Gluten Free by the FDA.
