The Shannon Rose, known for its scratch-made, pub-style food and drink alongside the hospitality and atmosphere, has rolled out a limited-time offer menu, perfect for both burger and beer lovers through January 31. The new “Hop & Sizzle” menu will feature chef-inspired, hand-crafted burger and craft beer pairings. Each burger-and-beer pairing from the Hop & Sizzle menu is $13.

Menu items include burgers like the Frenchie Burger, certified Angus beef topped with bacon, Brie, caramelized onions and poached pear with Ommegang Abbey Ale; and the Jerk Burger, a Jamaican jerk spiced-chicken burger with spicy mango chutney, green cabbage salad and lemon aioli with Brooklyn Blast IPA. Whole-Hog Festival at Zeppelin Hall

How many ways can you eat a pig? Let Zeppelin Hall count the ways at their Whole-Hog Festival, where guests can choose from 11 different pieces of pig to enjoy. There’s no wrong answer with choices like the Drunken Pig Head braised in beer with a sweet-and-sour glaze, one-pound, end-cut riblettes, BBQ ribs glazed in Korean BBQ Sauce, Pig Trotters (tender pig’s feet) a Classic Cuban, pulled-pork sandwich, Pork Clouds (homemade, deep-fried pork rinds with BBQ seasoning) and more. The 5th Annual International Great Beer Expo: Meadowlands

The biggest names in international brewing will gather at the Meadowlands Exposition Center for the 5th Annual International Great Beer Expo. This international beer tasting extravaganza will showcase more than 50 breweries from across the globe, each providing samples of their country’s proudest brewing achievement. Shoulder to shoulder with some of America’s best breweries will be amazing breweries from Japan, Germany, France, Belgium, Italy, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Nicaragua, Thailand, Poland, New Zealand, Indonesia, Sweden, China and others. Admission ticket includes beer sampling, souvenir tasting glass, and admission to the beer seminars. Online tickets are $42, plus tax/fee in advance of the event. If tickets still remain, they will be $60 on event day at the door (cash only). Ticket price includes a souvenir tasting glass marked with a 2-ounce pour line and beer tasting.

Designated driver tickets are available for $10, plus tax/fee. A DD ticket holder will get admission to the expo and a bottle of water. Designated drivers do NOT receive a tasting glass and are NOT permitted to sample any beer. Must be 21 or older to attend this event. Super Bowl at Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen
Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen
will be throwing a Super Bowl Bash on Sunday, February 1st in the Vail Bar and The Rathskeller from 5 to 10 PM. Offering chef’s classic Super Bowl-inspired snacks, and an all-you-can eat buffet. February 3
Founders Beer Dinner at George Street Ale House
Founders Beer Dinner is happening on February 3 from 7–9 PM at the George Street Ale House. Founders Brewing Company and their ultimate Winter malt-bomb—the Backwoods Bastard will be featured at the dinner and on tap, as well as the Breakfast Stout, Black Rye, Centennial IPA, and Dirty Bastard. Dinner menu will include wild-boar stew made with Dirty Bastard, and paired with Backwoods Bastard. Space for the dinner is limited. 378 George Street, New Brunswick 732-543-2408.

February 8
A Meal for Amiel
Chef Florian Wehrli, along with top chefs from New York City and Northern New Jersey, will hold a benefit dinner to raise money to build a greenhouse/interactive classroom for Frankford Township School. The five-course tasting meal will feature regionally grown meats, cheeses and produce and will be held at beautiful Perona Farms in Andover. Cocktails start at 5 PM. Seating at 6 PM. Proceeds will go to building an interactive classroom/greenhouse for Frankford Township School in Branchville. Tickets can be purchased online. 350 Andover Sparta Rd, Andover Township.
