National Lighthouse Day

You are invited to join us in celebrating National Lighthouse Day on Saturday, August 7th. This day will mark the 233rd anniversary of the signing of the 1789 Lighthouse Act. The ceremony begins at 10 AM with a formal patriotic ceremony honoring our lighthouse and Coast Guard heritage. Special guest speakers will include U. S. Coast Guard representatives, Mayor Patrick Rosenello and local historians. The New Jersey Lighthouse Society will provide games and surprises for all children. The lighthouse will be open from 9 AM until 5 PM, as always, admission is free and donations are accepted. Hereford Inlet Lighthouse, 111 North Central Avenue, North Wildwood, NJ.
