The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra’s 2008–09 Family concert series concludes with exotic flair on Saturday, May 16, at NJPAC in Newark, as the Orchestra presents “Scheherazade: Arabian Tales.”
The third and final Family program of season is a captivating finale to a series crafted around the theme of “Stories Through Music.” Rimsky-Korsakov’s magical Scheherazade is a musical interpretation of some of the most timeless stories from One Thousand and One Nights. The Enchantment Theatre Company joins the NJSO on stage, using masks, puppets and magic to bring these Arabian tales to life.
