Lewis Black is one of the most prolific and popular performers working today and he will be at The Music Box for three shows over three nights – August 7, 8 and 9. Lewis executes a brilliant trifecta as stand-up comedian, actor and author. Black’s live performances provide a cathartic release of anger and disillusionment for his audience. A passionate performer who is more of an angry optimist than mean-spirited curmudgeon, he has perfected expressing what the rest of us cannot say in polite company. He is one of few performers to sell out multiple, renowned theatres including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, New York City Center and the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. On February 11, 2007, Black received a Grammy award for “Best Comedy Album” for The Carnegie Hall Performance stand-up CD released by Comedy Central Records. Most recently, he has hosted and starred in the Comedy Central hit show “Root Of All Evil.”

Stand-up comedian Bob Zany is best known for performing with his trademark cigar on stage. Zany now appears weekly on The Bob and Tom Show, and has his own segment called “The Zany Report.” In recent years, he has also guest-hosted portions of Jerry Lewis' Labor Day Telethon.

Craig Shoemaker has performed on many different stand-up comedy programs including “Comic Relief” and “Comedy Central Presents.” Shoemaker has also guest-starred on many sitcoms and movies, including “Diagnosis: Murder” and “Scream 2.” He is the founder of the Laughter Heals charity that uses comedy to brighten the spirits of sick and injured people. Shoemaker is most known for his on-stage personas “The Lovemaster,” “Mr. Erase,” and for his army game or machine-gun act.
