Hours: Sun—Thurs 5 to 9 pm; Fri–Sat 5 to 10 pm; closed Tuesday.

Price: $$/$$$

Style: The cozy main dining room has exposed stone walls and an inviting fireplace. You can also dine in the more laid back old-world tavern, which has a creative, casual menu.

Don’t Miss: For starters try the steamed clams ($9.95) or potato-leek soup ($3.95). This is a great place for fresh, top-quality seafood, including shell fish, tuna, tilefish, and grouper. There’s also a separate oyster menu. Entrées from the sea include flounder florentine served on a bed of sautéed spinach and topped with garlic butter ($22.95), and the poached salmon with warm whole-grain mustard vinaigrette ($20.95). The grilled filet mignon with cabernet demi glace ($29.95) or parmesan-crusted double-cut pork chop $(19.95) will please the meat lovers. Be sure to save room for the decadent dessert options, such as  chocolate bread pudding and homemade cheesecake (incredibly fluffy and delicious) .

Heads Up: The tavern offers many tasty, diverse items at lower prices, such as pizza ($7.95), pasta du jour with shrimp ($15.95), classic burgers ($7.95), and several varieties of On A Stick, skewered morsels sold individually ($1.95 and up) so you can mix and match.

The Scoop: The family atmosphere is a hit for private parties, and the dining room and tavern are often crowded, so make reservations.
