Style:
Warm gold walls, candlelit tables and cozy banquettes create an intimate but convivial atmosphere. When weather permits, the entire front wall opens to the street and sidewalk seating is available.

Don’t Miss: The dinner menu is dominated by kicked-up peasant classics such as roasted chicken in lemon juice and white wine ($20), veal marsala ($18), double-cut pork chops Giambotta with mushrooms, peppers, onions and potatoes ($22) and shrimp and scallops over escarole and cannellini beans ($20). Other standouts are three styles of ravioli ($13–$18)—cheese, spinach or lobster—and daily pasta and fish specials. Seasonal offerings include soft shell crabs sautéed in sundried tomato pesto and served over broccoli rabe ($26). Lunch features soup, salad, sandwiches and thin-crust pizza. Don’t leave without sampling the dessert menu that headlines house-made treats such as cannoli, ricotta cheesecake, tiramisu and white coffee gelato ($7 each).

Heads Up:  Even on weeknights, this intimate restaurant is popular, so reservations are recommended.

The Scoop: Owner Peter Falzo personally greets guests; when business is brisk, don’t be surprised if this hands-on host takes your order, too. A BYO, Peter’s accepts all major credit cards. (Management requests no more than two credit cards per party.)
