Hours: Restaurant: Tues–Thurs, 4–10 pm, Fri–Sat, 4–11 pm, Sun, 4–9 pm. Cantina: daily, 3 pm until it’s empty.

Style: Mexican with an American twist and focus on local foods—plus a bar.

Don’t Miss: The Cantina steak salad ($9) isn’t for wimps. It’s a meal with, of course, steak, plus black olives and corn doused in ancho lime chile vinaigrette. If you like to live on the hot side, try the blackened chicken fajitas ($15), spicy chicken served with peppers, onions, pico de gallo, guacamole, and cheese. It comes with tortillas, pinto beans, and red rice (yes, there’s enough here to make lunch the next day).

Heads Up: While the restaurant and cantina are in the same building, the cantina ihas longer hours, and it’s cozier. The rotation of margaritas (which are also served in the restaurant) changes every day. If you ask, they will also make vegetarian and vegan versions of just about anything on the menu. If you’re looking for a deal, hit their afternoon delight—early bird dinner, which is served Tuesday through Friday from 4–6:30 pm. Each day, they serve a different $11.95 meal on special.

The Scoop: The Tortilla Press Cantina is related to the Tortilla Press in Collingswood—chef Mark Smith is owner of both. The big difference? The bar. Collingswood is a dry town.
