Eats: Then & Now

The Smithsonian’s traveling exhibit, Key Ingredients: America By Food, shows how regional traditions and international influences have shaped American cooking. The six host sites in New Jersey will hold  Jersey-specific events and show Jersey photos, including a Good Humor truck in Morristown; picking blueberries in Woodbine; and duck hunters displaying their bounty in Tuckerton.

Band of Brothers

Gov’t Mule formed in 1994 as an offshoot of the Allman Brothers Band. Lead singer and guitarist Warren Haynes (center) still plays with the Allman Brothers, Phil Lesh & Friends, and the Dead. He’ll hitch up with his Gov’t Mule sidekicks—drummer Matt Abts, keyboardist Danny Louis, and bassist Andy Hess at the Bergen Performing Arts Center.

Take a Chance on Swedes

Those long locks, sparkling leotards, platform shoes, and harmonious dance tunes can only belong to ’70s Swedish pop sensation ABBA. Some of the band’s original members take part in a performance from tribute group ABBA the Tour, in Ocean Grove.
