Rock N Ride Bike Tour

September 7. The Jersey Coast Chapter of the American Red Cross is pleased to host the 10th Annual Rock ‘n Ride Bike Tour. A leisurely day is planned for fun in the sun, with music, prizes and refreshments for families and friends. Riders can cruise a 10-mile course (beginning at 9:30 a.m.) or peddle the 40-mile trek (beginning at 9:00 a.m.) stretching the length of the island. The tour will take you through some of Long Beach Island’s historic parks, beautiful communities and scenic areas.

ARC Essex Foundation Golf Classic XX

September 15. This event, at Rock Springs Golf Club in West Orange, benefits The ARC of Essex County, a private, non-profit agency serving people with developmental disabilities in the Essex County area. The day includes lunch, golf, cocktail hour, dinner, and auction and raffle prizes.

Wine Tasting Fundraiser

September 18. The Home Care Foundation of New Jersey, a statewide organization, will hold its first annual wine tasting at Reeves Reed Arboretum in Summit. Proceeds will be used by the foundation to promote excellence in home care through scholarships, research, education, and special projects.

Partnership in Philanthropy's 12th Annual Dinner

September 25. This cabaret event at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark will include cocktails, dinner, silent auction, and cabaret entertainment by Liz Callaway.

Ron Weber Walk for Life

September 28. The 2008 Ron Weber Walk for Life will benefit The Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research, and will feature 1-mile and 3-mile paths for walkers and a 7-mile path available for runners. This event with support from The Lustgarten Foundation and local businesses is being held to support the struggle to find a cure for pancreatic cancer.
