Rum Point Crab House • Atlantic City
Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City opened its newest restaurant, Rum Point Crab House, in late April. Enjoy views of The Baywalk paired with fresh seafood dishes crafted by chef Kelly Wright. Menu options include succulent Maine Lobster Rolls, the Cape May Fish Fry (flounder, shrimp, calamari and clams), a Raw Bar (with clams, peel-and-eat shrimp, Cape May salt oysters and more) and a variety of Crab Buckets. The drink menu features Frozens, Cocktails (like a Pineapple Margarita), Red and White Sangria and a catalogue of wines, beer and rum. Open Fridays from 5–10 pm; Saturdays, 5–11 pm. Extended hours for Memorial Day weekend. Reservations can be made online.

Samba • Montclair
This Brazilian restaurant doubled in size when it took over a vacant storefront next door before reopening in late March. Now, owner and chef Ilson Goncalves invites guests to experience the new 1,000-square-foot dining room. Samba’s menu is 100% gluten-free, but that does not mean they sacrifice any flavor. Dishes include Bobó de Camarão (shrimp with yuca purée, tomatoes, onions and coconut milk), Estrogonofe de Frango (chicken with fresh cream, mushrooms, tomatoes and potatoes) and Gnocchi de Mandioca Com Carne Moída (gluten-free gnocchi in bolognese sauce).

Water Star Grille at The Reeds at Shelter Haven • Stone Harbor
Reopening May 10, this upscale yet casual eatery features waterfront views of the bay. Sip Bloody Marys and Mimosas at breakfast (offered June 28 to September 2), and enjoy specialty cocktails, domestic and imported beers, and wine at lunch and dinner. Dock-and-dine is permitted, so guests can stop in after a day on the water.

Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen • Morristown
Jockey Hollow plans to reopen later this month after closing last year due to Covid. With Governor Murphy lifting indoor dining restrictions May 19, owner Chris Cannon is looking for more people to join the team. If interested, email [email protected].
