Angry Archie’s, Jersey City

The beloved Jersey City-based food truck recently announced it is opening its first brick-and-mortar location this fall. The storefront plans on serving all of Angry Archie’s favorites, including jumbo lump crab cakes, lobster rolls, crab poutine, lobster mac & cheese and more. The new location is replacing what was formerly Alma Latina Cafe.

The Skillet by Sal, Freehold

A new breakfast spot opened its doors in late spring. Owners Sal and Nancy are serving up all kinds of breakfast creations, including the Ultimate Tomahawk Breakfast Board, which features scrambled and sunny side up eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, sausage, toast, pancakes and waffles. It can feed up to six people. Open daily from 8 am-3 pm.

Two Hands Corn Dogs, Palisades Park

This popular chain opened a new location in May, but, these aren’t your ordinary corn dogs. Coatings include potato cubes, crispy rice, bean powder, Nashville-style spicy seasoning, and an assortment of sauces to top it off. Two Hands also sells elote, kimchi seasoned fries and slushies. Open daily from 12-9 pm.

Jugemu, Cresskill

Cresskill welcomed a new restaurant a few weeks ago with a fresh menu of Japanese favorites. Dishes include assorted tempura, sushi rolls, soups, salads, green tea ice cream, mochi and an extensive list of sake and wine. Check out their Instagram for more on their small but beautiful dishes. Open Tuesday-Saturday from 4:30-9:30 pm.
