Openings: Atlas Public House in Jersey City

Atlas Public House, an international gastropub with small plates and composed dishes has opened at 130 Newark Avenue, Jersey City (201-479-8353). The restaurant features a front bar with 24 taps showcasing New Jersey, self-distributed craft breweries, and a beer-can program from some craft breweries in the northeast. The back bar is an intimate cocktail-centric lounge setting with creations from Max Goldberg (formerly of The Dillinger Room in New Brunswick). They also feature a 30-seat mezzanine dining room and 200-bottle wine cellar with 20 wines offered by the glass.

OTHER NJ RESTAURANT OPENINGS
The Boiling House, featuring Cajun seafood and Vietnamese cuisine, has opened at 1990 Marlton Pike East, Cherry Hill (856-751-2800); BYO.

Cai’s Café, 420 Main Street, Metuchen has opened, offering coffee, baked goods and smoothies (732-243-9925).

City Rub Smokehouse, 118 Stockton Street, Newark (862-237-7528).

Di Farina, offering pizza, pasta, sandwiches and more, has opened at 107 East Broad Street, Westfield (908-264-7442).

L’Angolo Trattoria Italiana (an authentic Trattroia Italiana) has opened at 696 Anderson Avenue, Cliffside Park (201-941-0853). Open for dinner only from 4 PM daily. The restaurant is currently BYO and in the process of acquiring a liquor license. Call for updated information.

Margaritas Mexican Restaurant, 270 Route 37 East, Toms River (732-505-1400).

Burgers, soups, salads, sandwiches and entrees are on the menu at the newly opened Stirling Tavern at 150 South Street, Morristown (973-993-8066).

Uncle Giuseppe’s, an Italian focused chain market with locations in New York, has opened at 10 Triangle Plaza, Ramsey (201-995-6800).

Viva Margarita, has opened at 364 Lawton Avenue, Cliffside Park offering Mexican food (551-313-0760). Open daily.

Vogue Café, 177 York Street, Jersey City (201-763-6972) has opened, offering sandwiches, soups, baked items, coffee and tea.
