Bar Mutz, Robbie Felice’s New Mozzarella Bar, Opens in Westwood; More Dining News

Bar Mutz, Westwood

Robbie Felice’s much-anticipated new mozzarella bar in downtown Westwood opened this week. This hip Italian trattoria, located next door to his sister restaurant, Osteria Crescendo, offers small plates of handmade cheeses and imported meats, along with creative cocktails. But as its name suggests, the highlight is the selection of mozzarella, stracciatella and burrata—made fresh daily in front of diners.

Macau Kitchen Restaurant and Bar at Bally’s Casino, Atlantic City

Macau Kitchen showcases a diverse menu of Asian cuisine, including signature dishes such as wonton soup, Vietnamese pho with housemade broth, lo mein, and seafood pan-fried noodles. Diners may also pair their meals with modern craft cocktails, a curated wine list, international beers, a variety of bubble teas and housemade desserts, including ube or yuzu cheesecake. The newly designed dining space also features a modern gaming lounge.

Chashni Café, Montclair

This new café, which has another location in Chatham, offers Pakistani-American fusion drinks and bites in a cozy pink interior. The menu includes breakfast items such as waffles, breakfast bowls and burritos, as well as artisanal toasts with toppings like avocado, burrata and tomato. Drinks include a rose saffron latte and iced masala chai.

Sweetgreen, Westfield

This week, Sweetgreen opened its eighth Jersey location, in Westfield. The restaurant offers its standard menu—salads, warm bowls, protein plates and sides, featuring longtime favorites like the Harvest Bowl and Caramelized Steak Protein Plate—alongside new menu items such as the Spicy Green Goddess Bowl.

Smash’n Pizza, Totowa

This restaurant specializes in pizza and smash burgers. It also features calzones, chicken sandwiches and salads.

Closings

The Fox & Falcon by David Burke, South Orange

Since opening in 2018, the Fox & Falcon had been a South Orange favorite for great food and a fun atmosphere. Celebrity chef David Burke took over operations in 2023 and brought his own flavor to the place before it closed.
