BBQ, Bourbon & Biergarten Comes to Montclair

Plus: A Burgundy wine dinner at Escape, a Bourbon-and-Blues event at Blue Morel, and other food events.

MONTCLAIR FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL BBQ, BOURBON & BIERGARTEN
Mark your calendar for Saturday, July 9 from 6 to 10 pm, when the Montclair Food & Wine Festival presents an outdoor BBQ, Bourbon & Biergarten-themed tasting event at the Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Avenue, Montclair. Attendees can sample dishes from area chefs, including a wide array of bourbon and craft beer from local artisanal and national brands. This fun-filled evening will also include live music provided by The Wellmont Theater, as well as a raffle and silent auction. General admission $85 and a premium bourbon and beer tasting experience is also available for an additional $35.

A spirited BBQ competition will be judged by some notable personalities including: Author John Holl, an acclaimed beer and food writer, and Veronique Deblois, KCBS Certified Judge and food blogger. Guests will also get in on the judging action via a people’s choice vote. John Holl will be signing his new book Dishing Up New Jersey (with purchase).

BURGUNDY WINE DINNER AT ESCAPE, MONTCLAIR

BOURBON AND BLUES AT BLUE MOREL
The wine bar at Blue Morel, Westin Governor Morris 2 Whippany Road, Morristown, will host a Bourbon and Blues evening with Bulleit Brand Ambassador who will pour tastes of their spirits. Cocktails, pulled-pork sliders and BBQ sushi will also be available from 5 PM. No reservation needed. Free tasting and music; food and cocktails extra.

WINE COMPARISON CLASS AND DINNER—SOUTHERN ITALY—NEW “IT” WINES OF 2016!
Carol Berman, founder of Class in a Glass/Take Home Sommelier, will teach a Wine Comparison Class and Dinner—Southern Italy—New “IT” Wines of 2016, at The Farm Cooking School, 1998 Daniel Bray Highway, Stockton.
