Openings

O’Bagel, Montclair

Known for having some of the best bagels in the state, this popular spot is expanding to its sixth location: Montclair. O’Bagel offers classic and specialty bagels, sandwiches and other brunch/lunch options.

Qahwah House, Montclair

This Yemeni-style coffee spot has expanded its first Clifton location. Qahwah House’s menu offers coffee, tea and pastries. Signature creations include Sana’ani coffee (made with cardamom) and Adeni Chai (a Yemeni black tea with cardamom, nutmeg and milk).

Paper Lantern, Montclair

Menu offerings at this new Sichuan/Chinese fusion include dim sum, Sichuan chili broth and spicy boiled beef. There are gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options.

Felina Steak, South Orange

Felina, which has locations in Summit, Ridgewood and Jersey City, opened in South Orange this month. It offers Italian-American cuisine with a contemporary twist—from handmade pastas and seafood dishes to dry-aged steaks and chops. Mixologists craft classic cocktails using a diverse selection of small-batch spirits, as well as craft beers and wines. Both the Ridgewood and Jersey City locations made New Jersey Monthly’s most recent list of the best restaurants in NJ.

SGD Dubu, Ridgewood

Ridgewood is the fifth Jersey location for this restaurant, which serves Korean dishes, including its signature tofu stew, Korean barbecue and bibimbap.

Di Blu Bakery, Hoboken

This new bakery and baking studio makes classic Argentine sweets, including alfajores, medialunas and pasta frola. It also offers private cooking classes.

Closings

Rainforest Cafe, Edison

This chain restaurant has shuttered its location in Edison’s Menlo Park Mall. The closure leaves just one remaining NJ location for the cafe: the Atlantic City Boardwalk.
