Berry Berry Martini

"We like to utilize fresh local ingredients in everything, even in our cocktails," says Jono Moratis, beverage birector of Strip House Restaurant in the Westminster Hotel in Livingston. "Summertime is berry time, so we designed this specialty cocktail to take advantage of the succulent fruit."

Serves: 1

Ingredients:

2-3 blackberries
5 slivers of fresh ginger
1.5 oz Chambord Vodka
.5 oz Chambord Liqueur
1 oz. fresh lime juice
Sparkling wine

Preparation:

Muddle blackberries and ginger in cocktail shaker. Add the next three ingredients; shake, then strain into a chilled martini glass rimmed with sugar. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with a blackberry.
