Wing It On! • Verona
This New England–based wing and chicken-sandwich spot is opening a second Jersey location. Jeff Cooper, a New Jersey business analyst, signed an agreement to open in Verona, accompanying the franchise’s other location in Linden. In addition to sandwiches like the Nashville Hot Chicken and the Hickory BBQ Dirty Bird, the menu offers an array of sauces (Asian Garlic, Honey Heat, Mango Habanero and more), as well as fries, coleslaw and loaded street corn.

Gigi and Mario’s • Edgewater
Award-winning chef Mathieu Palombino opened a pizzeria and restaurant in early October. The menu includes specialty tomato and white pies, with toppings such as smoked pancetta, capers, fennel sausage and cremini mushrooms. Also featured: the Gigi & Mario Burger (with bacon, onion, tomato and lettuce), salads and appetizers. The restaurant serves brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am–4 pm.

Savour Café & Eatery • Morristown
This Newton-based café opened in Morristown, its second location, in mid-October. Savour’s food, made with natural, local and organic ingredients, includes panini, sandwiches, soups and breakfast plates, as well as cakes, eclairs, macarons and fruit tarts. Savour also offers catering.

Makai (Ocean Casino Resort) • Atlantic City
On October 29, the Ocean Casino Resort will welcome a new restaurant inspired by the tastes of the Pacific Coast. Makai will feature an American menu with an island twist, featuring Fish Tacos, Smoked Guava BBQ Pork Ribs, Seafood Red Curry and more. The restaurant will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner, with breakfast plates such as Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, and Mushroom Toast with poached eggs. It’s located inside the Ocean Casino Resort between Topgolf Swing Suite and Amada by Jose Garces.
