Crumbl Cookies, Princeton

On October 14, this popular nationwide cookie chain opens its newest location in the Garden State. A cookie tasting for all guests will follow the ribbon cutting. Crumbl Cookies releases a new cookie menu every week. Husband and wife Jericho and Emily Pacho will run the Princeton location, which will open at 8 am Monday through Saturday. (Closed Sundays.)

8thai, Cranford

Open for lunch and dinner, 8thai offers homestyle Thai food “made for the soul.” Inspired by recipes of the owner’s mother, the menu includes salads, soups, noodle dishes, curries and more. For main dishes, choose from fish, duck and chef specialties such as salmon and garlic crystal shrimp. Online ordering is available.

Mirak, Cliffside Park

This new Japanese-slash-Korean restaurant comes from the same team that was previously behind Pig Mom in Palisades Park. The menu includes noodles, sushi rolls, dumplings, donburi (a Japanese rice bowl) and more. Open daily, 11:30 am–10 pm. BYO. Online ordering is available.

Just Salad, Pompton Plains

Just Salad is a build-your-own salad spot for lunch and dinner. This particular location is debuting the addition of seasonal salads, including the Sweet Mama (baby spinach, plant-based bacon, white cheddar, apples and honey-maple walnuts) and the Autumn Caesar (romaine lettuce, oven-roasted chicken, Parmesan, pears, cranberries and garlic butter croutons). It opens daily at 10:30 am.
